The Hotel Low Down

David and I have blocked off rooms for you throughout the Poughkeepsie area. Here are the details for all of them:

1. Poughkeepsie Grand hotel
40 Civic Center Plaza
Phone: 845.485.5300
  • Group Code: MAGR
  • Rate: $109/night for up to 2 adults. $10/per person for each person over 2 adults per room
  • Complimentary breakfast every day
  • Shuttle from the Metro-North Poughkeepsie station. Call when you are at Beacon and someone will be waiting to pick you up at the Poughkeepsie station.
David and I will stay at this hotel. We recommend this hotel for the "younger" crowd because it is close to the nightlife in downtown Poughkeepsie.

2. Holiday Inn Express
2750 South Road (Rte. 9)
Phone: 845.473.1151
  • Group Code: MGW
  • Rate: $129/night for up to 2 adults and king bed, $139/night for up to 2 adults and two full beds. $10/per person for each person over 2 adults per room
  • Complimentary breakfast every day
  • Shuttle from the Metro-North Poughkeepsie station. Call for more information
This is also a very nice and clean hotel on Route 9. We would recommend this hotel if you have access to a vehicle because it isn't a very "walkable" stretch of Route 9.

3. Courtyard Marriott
2641 South Road (Rte. 9)
Phone: 800.321.2211, 845.485.6336
  • Group Code: Grossman-Marcella Wedding
  • Rate: $119/night for up to 2 adults and king bed, $139/night for up to 2 adults and two full beds. Additional charge for more than 2 adults in a room
This facility is very nice. Unfortunately, no free breakfast and no shuttle to or from the Metro-North train station. It is pretty much across the street from the Holiday Inn Express, along the same strip of Route 9.

4. Best Western
2170 South Road (Rte. 9)
Phone: 845.462.4600
  • Group Code: Marcella-Grossman Wedding
  • Rate: $109/night for up to 2 adults. $10/per person for each person over 2 adults per room
This hotel is very close to the Galleria Mall and an Olive Garden. The Bonefish Grill across the street is also tasty. Unfortunately, no free breakfast and no shuttle to or from the Metro-North train station. It is the furthest away from the venue, but in case you are a chronic shopper, this is the hotel for you!

We hope this information is helpful for all of you. If you have any problems, please let us know by commenting on this post or emailing us.
